Other possibilities on your special day with the Richard Böcking winery;
A guided visit to the historic 14th Century Rittersaal, since the mid-1850’s home to the Böcking winery. Long abandoned for village meetings, trials, and beheadings, the old building still displays its vastness and unusual features such as the sanctuary of the little Gothic chapel.
Visit the Mittel Mosel Muesum in Trarbach, formerly the Böcking family home. See where Göethe dined with the Böckings, along with spending time amongst the rich collection of antique furniture and winemaking apparatus. It is located on the river, a five-minute walk from the Rittersaal.
The 2,000 year old cultural landscape that distinguishes the Middle Mosel is available to the visitor as a day-walk through our vineyards. No tickets, no charges, no special arrangements are necessary. Just pick up a walking map at a local store, and spend the day in the many vineyards surrounding Traben-Trarbach.
Coupled with a river trip and a tasting at the Böcking winery, a weekend in our area is perfect for business retreats, birthday celebrations, and other special occasions.
